Itinerary

We pick you up at your hotel and head to the westernmost tip of the Snæfellsnes peninsula. There the routes and excursions will begin.

First we will make stops at Arnarstapi and Hellnar, former fishing villages with extraordinary rock formations and gigantic beaches. After taking a long walk along its coast, we will head to a different beach, that of the black pebbles of Djúpalónssandur.

Its sand seems to be made of black pearls, but the most surprising thing is that on the plain there are four very high stones that the ancient fishermen used for their strength competitions.

After seeing this magical place we will get back in the vehicle to visit Saxhóll, a volcanic crater full of rock formations and Ólafsvík, an old town. The latter will be the ideal place to take a break, eat and drink something and walk along its old pier.

The next stop on our tour will be the most photographed mountain in Iceland: Kirkjufell. This cone-shaped beauty is located on the picturesque Grundarfjörður fjord. Its size will surprise you and you will want to stop to take thousands of pictures.

Finally, there is the magnificent Snæfellsjökull glacier, the real reason for the tour and the final destination. In addition to its surprising appearance, it hides a lot of secrets and curiosities, for example, that it was the inspiration for Jules Verne to write ‘Journey to the Center of the Earth’.
