After breakfast, the guide will meet the group at the reception of the accommodation, where there will be a small presentation of the trip. We begin our adventure, in an exclusive vehicle for us, towards the famous “Golden Circle”, undoubtedly the most popular group of visits on the island. Here we will know three essential places on a trip to Iceland:

  • Geysir, the famous spout of water that has given its name to all the geysers in the world, is currently dormant. But next to him we will see his “brother” Strokkur, which emanates with all its force every few minutes and which we can enjoy several times during our visit;
  • Gullfoss or the “Golden Waterfall”, one of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland thanks to its fabulous waterfalls that reach 32 meters high; and to finish,
  • Thingvellir (þingvellir) National Park, seat of the first Icelandic Parliament, where we can observe the separation of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates.

Accommodation in the Hella area.

Dinner included.

Moving south, we will visit some waterfalls. The first will be those of Seljalandfoss and Gljúfrabui. Next, we will enjoy the Skogafoss waterfall, one of the most beautiful and representative waterfalls in all of Iceland. During the winter months, many of Iceland’s waterfalls freeze over, creating a unique landscape. We will continue to Vík to see its cliffs and black sand beaches. We will visit the Reynisfjara beach, surrounded by a landscape with impressive basalt formations and from where we will be able to observe the famous “trolls” that are found in the sea and that legend says were petrified at dawn. Then we will go east to reach the Vatnajökull glacier, the third largest mass of ice on the planet after Antarctica and Greenland.

Accommodation in the Vík area.

Dinner included.

Today we go through one of the most spectacular parts of the country, observing the majestic glacier tongues coming from Vatnajökull. We visit the famous Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoons and Diamond Beach, always full of icebergs that detach from the nearby glacial fronts.

After seeing the glacier from the surface, we decided to explore its interior. We will have the opportunity to explore the naturally formed ice caves and tunnels. This activity does not require previous experience. We will be accompanied by expert local guides.

Accommodation in the Vík area or surroundings.

Dinner included.

We start the day visiting one of the nearby glacier tongues, as a farewell to the “kingdom of ice” in which we find ourselves. On the way south, we will stop at the lava and moss fields of Eldhraun. Next we will visit the Lava Centre, where we will discover how the colossal and complex forces of nature that began to form Iceland tens of millions of years ago work.

Accommodation in the Hella area.

Dinner included.

The Reykjanes peninsula concentrates the largest number of active calderas in Iceland. This turns the landscape into a continuous contrast of colors and shapes, adorned by volcanic craters, lakes and mountains. We will start by visiting the Seltún (Krysuvík) area, with fumaroles, hot springs, boiling mud, boilers…

We will continue with a short walk next to the youngest lava fields on the island. Created in the summer of 2021 by the famous Fagradalsfjall Volcano, which was erupting for several months. As a climax, we will enjoy a relaxing bath in the most famous and luxurious thermal baths in Iceland, the Blue Lagoon (Blue Lagoon). The entrance includes a towel.

Accommodation in Reykjavik.

Dinner on your own.

Today we will enjoy a free day in the capital, to visit the city or take an optional excursion.

Free time until the transfer to the airport. Return flight.

Note: for logistical reasons in the country, the order of the itinerary and the location of some accommodation may vary without prior notice. This does not usually happen, but Iceland is one of the world destinations with the greatest increase in travelers in recent years and on certain occasions we have had to make small changes on the fly for external reasons. This does not affect the visits to be made, although the order can be changed.
